this is a great little book! I ordered 3 more so that my son and my daughter can use the waffle makers I'm sending them, for Christmas.One of these books is for me. The recipies are a nice change from just basic waffles. I'll have to try some of them for myself. If you like waffles, this would be a good book and a great place to start!

Terrible --very few (description says "64" - my count is about half that), extremely basic recipes that are not adjusted for the amount needed for a mini-waffle. And, most recipes do not indicate serving number. You could just take a regular cookbook and use the recipe since you have to adjust for a smaller quantity. I would NOT recommend this purchase.

Im returning as I ordered 2 grills & i wanted. 1 waffle maker & 1 cookbook . It’s lovely but i order incorrectly. Sometimes your site is difficult. It help if include an invoice for returns with a adhesive label. I have a disability & it’s difficult to process

I bought this along with a mini waffle maker for my daughter for in her Easter basket! This cookbook is great! It’s small, simple recipes, and very easy to follow. They are healthy and very allergy friendly. I love watching my kids in the kitchen and it was a great addition!

This book is probably one of the greatest baking guides I have ever bought. Not just because the cover looks amazing and different and the title catches the eye, but because it doesn't talk down to the reader. I cannot describe how many cookbooks or baking books I have looked at that just seem to act as if the reader has no basic knowledge of culinary skills. Every page is a grand surprise; whether it is the wonderfully snarky comments or the pictures (OH THE PICTURES!!) of each individual dish, entertainment is sure to be had just by reading this book from cover to cover. But what we really want to know is how the food tastes... Well, I officially made the Fruckies, and I must say that this baker is legit. This book will definitely be an official staple in my house.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review, which has not altered my opinion of this book.This book was wonderful. Not only are the pictures gorgeous, the author a BAMF, but the food is delicious. I actually got the book before the holidays (yes it’s been a while, don’t attack me) and baked several of the cookies for a holiday party and they were a huge hit. I haven’t tried the cakes yet because I’m not a huge cake person, but they will happen I’m sure eventually.The book itself is wonderfully written and explains everything thoroughly and without any issues. Ms Kim has the recipes rated by difficulty as well as explains how long things take and the best way house each instrument. There is humor and wit and very satisfying jabs and notes throughout the recipes. This book for sure has the feel of a cookbook made for someone who just wants to relieve tension and I can’t recommend it enough! 5 out of 5 from me!

Pastry chef and tattoo artist Heather Kim serves up sinfully delicious recipes and bittersweet advice for those going through breakups or having troubles with people in their life! What better way to say you are sooooo over a person than baking a dessert that will blow their minds!?I'm no chef even though I do enjoy baking, especially if I have someone who is willing to help out in the kitchen with me... The holiday season is also a great time to pull out the cookie recipes and do something a little more complex than your typical stir and bake. So I was super looking forward to this cookbook! And I wanted to see which of the recipes I would be comfortable baking and which I would back out of... my eyes being more willing than my hands!The first thing I need with a cookbook are full color photographs of each recipe. There doesn't have to be step by step pictures but at least the finished product!! And this cookbook has those!! They will draw you in and make you salivate!! Really 5 STAR when it comes to the pictures... I really dislike when a recipe or 10 are slipped in without a finished product to look at... but Heather doesn't do that to us!! Especially with a dessert the presentation is soooo important and now I know what it should look like!The next thing I need with a cookbook are tips! I don't need every little thing explained but let me know what specialty tools I'll need... Explain any ingredients that it isn't common knowledge to know about... And if you do something special then explain what each rating means! This cookbook has ALL of that! I knew right away there were recipes I wouldn't be able to do because I don't have a rolling pin (NOOOOO I really wanted to make the Figgy Cookies but I didn't really want to buy a rolling pin and it was pretty essential!) I knew that I was taking on a couple of pretty intense recipes because the burn factor rating told me so!A couple of my favorite specialty pages were the sugar explanation, the nut guide and the flour breakdown. Super cute and very handy to find when I can't quite remember what turbinado sugar or pastry flour is! (And now I can send the BF to the store to get hazelnuts and won't get almonds instead!) There are also handy hacks spread through the book, right in the margins where they are super handy... (For example, I knew I was supposed to get 15 crepes and not 5! #oops )The last thing that I need with a cookbook are simple but complete steps, for recipes that I would make regularly where MY end product is close to the original. This step necessitates someone TESTING the recipe. SO I DID THAT FOR YOU! I LOVED how clear the steps were for each recipe. The size bowl was mentioned. When you should butter the pan. Plus even if you need to turn the pan when baking! Very nice! Plus the extras like the frosting and edible garnish are separate recipes so if I want to go easy and buy those things for time's sake I can and I don't have to figure out what belongs to the main recipe and what doesn't.There are some crazy garnish ingredients especially the raman on fudge and chicken skin candy but if those aren't you're thing they are easy to skip or when you're ready, take the leap and go crazy... whichever you chose!!The recipes were pretty simple to follow even the higher rated ones I chose to make! And while the end product didn't totally turn out on one of my recipes I think that was because it was an epic level skill that needs practicing! The important part THE TASTE was excellent and the final products were gorgeous (even if a little different from Heather's)!! I think if you are a beginner you will be adding some skills to your repertoire and yet nothing is so hard you can't muddle through. the book was really good, in fact that was the only thing keeping me from putting 1 or 2 stars. Im going to say all the prebloms. First of all, literally half the book is 'adds' for more of your books so i was expecting full book with lots of stuff . Number 2, you said something about reviewer game and said you will talk about it later iin the book at the end, but all i found at the end of the book(which ended at 65%) was more adds for your books.----------------------------------------------------------------------Okay lets talk about the good stuff in this book.The plot was really good and it kept me up and reading.i like how u added tension in between the characters and the decision beetween going to the towers or saving devdan from never seeing his dad again and become a zombie._over all the book was really good i hope you look at what i thought were prebloms_peaceSun2000

I looooove this cookbook so much! I was so pleased and surprised to see an authentic Assyrian cookbook being sold on Amazon and was even more happy realizing Beatrice is also an Iranian Assyrian and that the book includes not only Assyrian recipes but Iranian ones as well!! Im very excited to recreate the foods I grew up eating myself and am so pleased with my purchase.

In the interest of disclosure, I feel that I need to say that I have known one of Mrs Youil's daughters for about 15 years. Having a copy of this book now ends about 14 years, 11 months and 20 days of nagging for copies of these recipes; which started after I had tasted some of these (as prepared by her daughter).I feel that I should also make it clear that I am a collector of cookbooks, and recipes. One of my favourite pastimes is reading cookbooks. I have found this to be a very straight forward, and easy to follow for any novice cooks out there. I have been able to cook the Boosleh Gilya (red onion sauce) and the Mahshe Smooka (red kidney bean soup) straight from my cupboard, without having to rush out for any exoitc ingredients.As a diabetic , the majority of the recipes meet my need for balanced GI friendly food, and the desert section (Halva anyone?) will serve for my occasional treats. I can also see this being a practical choice for anyone wanting to feed their family.Thank you to Mrs Youil and her family for taking the time to write, and get this book published. It will now reside with, and be a valuable addition to my "daily" cookbooks; you know - the ones that we all have with the stained pages from where you have dripped on them, and that naturally fall open to certain well loved pages? The tough choice is deciding which pages will be the most loved...

Excellent book

I bought this book for my wife for Christmas because she is learning the Assyrian language and culture. So far she's made about 8 or 9 recipes from the book that were beyond expectations in flavor and taste. She includes a recipe from this book each week for dinner, some for breakfast. All of the recipes are very wholesome made with simple ingredients and a lot of flavor. I would totally recommend this book for anyone not afraid to step out of their comfort zone and try some different but great food.
